I hope everyone had a terrific Mother's Day. It happened to be my best Mother's Day ever. My Mother's Day wish was for some family time together. Between work, church, baseball, softball, household duties, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, homeschool choir, etc., we're always rushed and never get to spend the family time together that we'd like. So, for Mother's Day, after a fantastic lunch at a restaurant I don't get to eat at often enough, we headed to Nashville to the zoo. It's not the best zoo in the world, but it's definitely improving every year. It's got a nice long walking path and plenty of shade. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time.

There is a great big playground at the zoo, where I've been taking the kids since before Andrew could walk. It was fun to play there together as a family and pretend to be young. Of course, this morning, I don't feel quite as young as I did yesterday.

Our favorite exhibit? The meerkats. They are so incredible to watch. Have you ever seen Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet? It's amazing!
