Yay for friends!

When Todd and I were in college, our campus ministry drove to Missouri to get together with the campus ministry at Southeast Missouri. We met some friends there that became instant family and we've been buddies ever since. We don't get to see them very often, but everytime we do, it's like we've never been apart. Our kids know that Uncle Scott and Aunt Annette aren't actually related, but like the expression says, "Friends and the family we choose for ourselves."

We had a blast visiting them this weekend. We introduced them to letterboxing, went swimming, had movie night, watched some football, hung out in the backyard, worshipped together, and took pictures in the park. But what we did the most of was eat! Let's just say we probably ate a week's worth of groceries this weekend! Our friends fed us very well!

One thing the kids enjoyed most was riding wagons down the hill in the backyard. Even Uncle Scott got in on the action!

It is always good to reconnect with old friends.

Looks like you had a ball! I am so glad that you have kept in touch with them, they look like very special longtime friends (like you are to us)!
